Open Edition Prints

What is an Open Edition?

An Open Edition is commercially available in an unlimited quantity. Open Edition prints are not signed nor individually numbered. Open Edition prints do not come with a certificate of authenticity.

Limited Edition Prints

What is a Limited Edition?

A limited edition means prints are commercially available in a finite number for that size. For this reason, limited editions often have a higher perceived value as they will never be printed again.

Will you ever reissue a Limited Edition?

Absolutely not. Once a Limited Edition sells out, it will never be made available as a Limited Edition again for any reason.

Do you make proofs of your Limited Edition prints?

Absolutely! We work closely with the experienced professionals at Duggal Visual Solutions to ensure our final product meets the highest standards. The process of making a final proof results in a digital file that is used to print the entire edition. It is important to us that every print in the edition is exactly the same. 

My Limited Edition package has arrived! What should I do next? 

Be patient. Try and resist the temptation to open the tube and remove your print. Avoid damaging your investment, which includes unwanted and unwelcome finger prints. Take the tube to your framing professional and carefully unpack it together.

If I lose my certificate of authenticity, can I get another?

Yes, a certificate of authenticity can be replaced. Please contact us and we can arrange to have a replacement sent to you. Please keep your certificate in a safe place like a safe or envelope on the back of your framed print.

Can I use images found on your website?

No, all images on this website are the sole property of Ben Shyman Photography, LLC. Images may not be copied, reproduced, printed, stored or scanned. Images may only be used, in whole or in part, with written permission from Ben Shyman Photography, LLC.

Are images available for licensing?

Yes, please contact us.

Ordering

Do I need an account with Ben Shyman Photography LLC to purchase online?

No, anyone can purchase online through our website without an account. 

What type of payment methods do you accept?

We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover and PayPal.

Do you store my credit card information?

No, we use PayPal to accept credit card orders and your credit card information is kept strictly private. In fact, we never see it. 

How do I use a credit card on your website? 

Please check out as a Guest using PayPal. 

Do I need a PayPal account to use a credit card? 

No, you can use a credit card through PayPal as a Guest.

Shipping and Delivery

Do you ship internationally?

No, not at this time. 

How do I track my order?

We only provide tracking numbers for Limited Edition orders. Once your order ships we will email you the tracking number. 

Is my artwork shipped insured?

Absolutely! We insure all Limited Edition prints. We do not insure Open Edition prints as they ship directly from our lab to you.

What happens if my package arrives damaged?

Open Edition prints ship directly from our lab to you. The lab does an excellent job packaging these shipments and the vast majority of the time they arrive undamaged. However, we know that anything can happen in transit. If your Open Edition order arrives damaged, please contact us! We will happily replace it. We will even pay the cost of shipping a new order to you.

Limited Edition prints ship and arrive in large, double-packed, heavy-duty shipping tubes. If the outer box is damaged there is a high likelihood the inner tube, which is bubble wrapped, is fine. If you are concerned about a damaged print, please take several photographs of the tube and contact us immediately. We will get back to you promptly with instructions. Together let’s assess the best course of action. A request to replace a Limited Edition print can only be honored within seven (7) days of the tracking delivery date. Again, if your tube shows up damaged contact us immediately.

Can you ship to a PO box?

No.

What shipping services do you use?

Open Edition prints are shipped via a variety of shipping services depending on your selection at check out. We generally ship Limited Edition prints using USPS and UPS. 

When will my order arrive?

Orders of Open Edition prints usually take 5-7 days for Standard Shipping (selected on checkout). Orders of Limited Edition prints take longer, usually up to four (4) weeks since printing and preparation of your order require more steps. 

Returns and Exchanges

Do you have a return policy?

Yes, if for any reason you are not completely satisfied with your purchase of Open Edition prints, please contact us and we will will issue you a credit for a future purchase.

Can Limited Edition prints be returned or exchanged?

Every Ben Shyman Photography Limited Edition order is bespoke. This makes refunds and exchanges difficult. That said, happy clients are a priority for us. So please contact us and let’s talk about it. We want to understand why you were unsatisfied and see what can be done to make you happy.
